Outlook Express Mail

Instructions For Windows XP customers

  1. Click on Start in lower left corner, Then click Outlook Icon. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts. 
  2. Go to Mail tab,  Click Add   and then click Mail.
  3. Enter your name in the 'Display name' field, and click Next.
  4. Enter your full email address (username@wolfnet.net) in the 'Email address' field, and click Next.
  5. For 'My incoming mail server is a ______ server', please select POP3 in the drop-down menu.
  6. Enter 'pop3.wolfnet.net' in the 'Incoming mail (POP3) server' field. Enter 'smtp.wolfnet.net' in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server' field.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter your full email address (including '@wolfnet.net') in the 'Account name' field. Enter your password in the 'Password' field, and click Next.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Check our recommended client settings, and adjust your client's settings as needed. (BELOW)
  11. On the Mail tab, select the account you just created, and then click Properties.
  12. Go to the Servers tab.
  13. Select My server requires authentication, and then click Apply
  14. Go to the Advanced tab.
  15.  In the Server Port Numbers section, change Outgoing mail (SMTP) to 25, and then click OK
  16. (Optional) If you want to keep a copy of email messages stored on your email provider's servers, in the Delivery section, select Leave a copy of messages on server.

Your Outlook Express account is now set up. Click Close to close the Internet Accounts window and return to your Outlook Express.

Thunderbird Mozilla Email Install

1. Go to http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/
2.  Click on Thunderbird 3.1 Free Download icon
3. Click RUN
4. Follow Thunderbird setup wizard

 

Set Up DTV Remote Control

1. After getting the proper codes from the remote guide press the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE. 2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button  3. Wait until the red LED light at top  flashes twice, then RELEASE. 4. ENTER the 4 digit code for your brand. 5. You should receive 2 quick red LED flashes after entering your code. 6. PRESS the POWER button to test the code (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY). If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-3, trying each code for your brand until you find one that works. If it still does not work, try searching for the code, see "Searching for Your Code".

If your TV, VCR, Cable or Audio Component  does not respond to the Millennium 4 after trying all the codes listed in manual, try searching for your code.

1.Turn on your TV
2. Press TV button on top of remote
3.Press & hold  SETUP until the LED blinks twice, then release SETUP.
4. Enter 9 - 9 - 1.  The LED light will blink twice
4. Aim the remote control at the TV and press POWER once. 5.Press & release the CH+ key continuously, then stop when the TV turns off. 6.Press POWER. The TV should turn on, then press SETUP to lock the code.

Check Interface Box (NID)

 NID

To check for Dial Tone at Test Box. Take a corded phone to the NID (Network Interface Device) on the outside of your home (see photo). Open box with a screwdriver and unplug the phone line inside the box. Plug in your corded phone and listen for a dial tone.  If you do not get a dial tone when plugged into the outside NID box, then the problem lies in the phone company wiring somewhere. If you do get a dial tone, then the problem is inside your home and your responsiblity. unless you have inside wire maintenance.

Automatic Callback

Last Number Activate *66 Deactivate *86 Automatically redials a busy station and rings your line when the line is available. To use: After dialing a number and receiving a busy tone, hang up. Lift handset and press * 66; wait for the announcement that says, "the system will monitor the line for 30 minutes, etc." You don't have to listen to the whole announcement before hanging up. Your phone will check the number for up to 30 minutes. A distinctive ring will alert you when the line becomes available.

To cancel: Lift handset and press *86. Wait for confirmation tone and then hang up.

Automatic Recall

Activate *69   Deactivate *89   Redials your last caller whether you answered the call or not. If you have Call Waiting and you ignore the Call Waiting signal, you may still recall the person who called you. Commonly referred to as "Star 69." to use: lift handset and press *69.  The calling number will be announced and you will be asked to "Press 1" if you wish to call the number back. To remove if the line is busy, lift the handset and press*89. Wait for confirmation tone and then hang up.

Three-Way Calling

Allows you to talk to two other people at the same time.

To use: With the first caller on the line, press and quickly release switch hook. You will hear a break in dial tone and then dial tone. Then, dial the number of the 2nd person you want to join your phone call. After the third party answers, press and then quickly release switch hook. You are now talking with both parties.

Pressing the switch hook a third time will disconnect the third party. Teen Line (Distinctive Ringing) - Allows two phone numbers to be assigned to the same telephone line.  Separate numbers are assigned for voice and Fax calls and each number has a distinctive ring. Enjoy some of the advantage of a second line at a lower cost! (Faxes cannot be sent or received while the phone is in use - there are two separate phone numbers, but a single telephone line.)

FIND ME Service

Manawa Subscribers of FIND ME service can assign several telephone numbers to ring at the same time or  in succession when a call is received. For instance, a business person could specify that his/her office phone, wireless phone and home phone all ring when a call is placed to his/her office number. FIND ME alerts the caller that it's attempting to locate the subscriber and to "Please stay on the line." (Long distance rates to forwarded numbers may apply.)

To turn the service On/Off: 1. Dial the administration number (920) 596-6097 for the Find Me service.
2. Enter your Subscriber Number (10-digit telephone number)
3. Enter your password (1111)
4. Press 1 to turn your service On/Off.

To Change Your PIN:
1. Dial the administration number (920) 596 6097 for the Find Me service.
2. Enter your Subscriber Number (your 10-digit telephone number).
3. Enter YOUR new password (1111).
4. Press 5 to change your PIN number.
5. Enter your new PIN ___   ____   ____   ____ .
6. Reenter your PIN to verify.

To Record Your Announcement:
1. Dial the administration number (920) 596-6097 for the Find Me service.
2. Enter your Subscriber Number (10-digit telephone number).
3. Enter your password.
4. Press 3 to record your name.
5. Record your name and press the # key when done.

Set Up Voice Mail Greeting & Login

Record your personal greeting

1. Dial 596 MEMO (596-6366). At the main menu, press  9
2. Press  1 for Greeting Options
3. Press  2 to Record a Greeting
4. At the tone, record your greeting. When you are finished, press the # key.
5. Press the * key to return to the Mailbox Setup Menu

Accessing Your Mailbox

1.  Dial 596 MEMO (596-6366)
      If calling from the phone subscribed to the service, no further entry is required.
      If calling from a different phone, enter your 10-digit telephone number
2. If requested enter your password, followed by the # key (Default is 0000)
3. Main Menu: Press 1 to retrieve messages, press 7 for current date and time, or press 9 for mailbox setup. The new message will play immediately.

Change your password (Default is 0000)

1.  Dial 596 MEMO (596-6366). At the main menu, press 2
2. Enter your new password (1-16 digits) followed by the # key.
3. Re-enter your password followed by the # key.

You may change your personal greeting or password at any time.

-     When you lift the phone's handset and hear a stutter dial tone, you have a voice message.
